This first album is a stunning new proposal to rethink, in both music and pictures, our relationship to the world, particularly the natural world.
The project started in 2015 from the band’s desire to take part in building worldwide a much needed environmental awareness.
In our journey, we met scientists, philosophers, activists, we interviewed them, filmed them and then composed a musical and video double-album from the core of their answers, using their words to build our melodies, through the process of speech musicalisation invented by american composer Steve Reich (and used by other musicians like Chassol for example).
Alternating with these tracks built around interviews, we wrote additional instrumental music to create genuine musical post-rock meditations, both radiant and powerful.
To make our sound still stronger and our melodies still more lyrical, we gathered around us many classical instruments : strings, trumpets, trombones, bells, glockenspiels and more to produce a sound that is both intense and organic.
The House We Live In is, first of all, a show, blending music, video and voice. It is now a physical & digital album.
